The Feminist Association of Iceland was
founded March 13th 2003.
The Feminist Association of Iceland
is a free and independent forum with the goal to foster critical
and feminist discussion in all areas of Icelandic society.
Our mission
to work for gender equality
to work against
all kinds of sexual injustice such as pornophication, sexist
and demeaning advertisements, violence, trafficing and
prostitution
to
work against gender steriotypes
to work for working women,
equal pay for equal jobs and more influence of women in
resource and finance management
to make the sociey more alert to both
male and female view points and roles.

Among other things, we participated in the Women's Day
Off on October 24th 2005. 60.000 Icelandic women participated
by stop working at 2.08 pm and rallied around the country.
